Green Tea Psyop

Ever seen people who drink green tea to loose weight, without doing changes on how much they eat or exercise. This is the same mindset some business owners have that leads to disregarding getting clients online.

There are sweat souls out there who would like to lose weight.

They would look online and see what they can do

Somehow, they end up starting off having green tea every morning.

Hoping it'll help them lose weight.

Whilst they keep doing the things that made them overweight in the first place.

So, they keep on drinking it, see no changes, and are left disappointed.

When in reality, the tea wasn't at fault. They just thought, or were sold the idea, that doing this will help them loose their fat

Which is arguably not wrong, but it's not the core of it.

Unless you work on:

  • Exercise

  • Sleep

  • Diet

Your body won't shed off excess fat

Tea is just a supplement, not the lead action towards this outcome

Unfortunately, business owners are doing the same mistake.

They hire a marketers, and he offers them leads, appointments, a website, an ad, videos, etc

And, business owners would buy those assets, and assume on the back of their mind that it'll get them results such as clients, visitors, and quality leads

When it doesn't happen, they blame the whole marketing space.

I talk with business owners, and most of them have gone through this experience.

Here's the thing: it's not your fault.

It's people who play with this assumption, without addressing the goal upfront.

Therefore, when a marketer decides to sell you a service, you should ask him how EXACTLY his marketing ASSET will help you get the OUTCOME you want

Example:

There are people offering leads. You get the leads, they get paid. But...

Are those leads even quality. Are those qualified, or have the potential to be turned into clients?

You didn't buy leads for leads, you brought them so you can get paid.

And marketers should know this

When I do marketing, I am in a constant feedback with my clients

"Are these quality."
"What did you like about these leads."
"What did you hate about them."
"Do you want to qualify them even more"

I am not saying you should ask marketers to get money out of people's pockets (unless it's an online business)

But, you are buying assets for a reason. At least have a clear visual of how these assets will get you, or lead you closer to your goal (clients, leads, visitors, etc)

If getting a client is based on 7 steps, is he contributing to the step 4?

Otherwise, you'll end up in the Green Tea Psyop.

Talk about your goals. Have clear expectations. See if it makes sense before buying.

Online marketing works. You just have to make it work.
